A friend of mine has been suffering pretty badly since childhood. He finally went to a Doctor and was told to put talcum powder on the area. I'm no brain-surgeon, but it seems a bit stupid to do that. It might make sense to use powder to absorb the moisture, but I've mixed powder and salty water (sweat) and it turned into paste. As it dried, it turned into crumbles of harsh glug, like sandpaper, complete with bacteria and who-knows-what-else.  And I wouldn't want sandpaper anywhere near that area.  I told him to go home and wash the sandpaper stuff off, then dry the area with his wife's hairdryer (on cool setting), then apply Dermatitis Wizard Moisturising Cream. He wondered if the cream would make the rubbing worse and I asked if he'd use wet sawdust to lubricate his car engine. He said 'no, I'd use oil'. I told him the cream is a really nice, soothing, lubricating, oil-sort-of-stuff and that it also has avocado oil in it.  He got the idea, tried it that day and came back the next day to tell me: "hey, this sh*t really works! Can I get some for a couple of people I know."
